PURPOSE: To make it possible to heat-treat an article to be heat-treated with high efficiency by placing a seating material in contact with an opening of a heat treatment sleeve and moving the sealing member which seals the heat treatment sleeve acting in concert with the heat treatment sleeve when the heat treatment sleeve is passing though a heat treatment zone in a furnace. CONSTITUTION: When a heat treatment sleeve 4, which contains a ceramic raw material (an article to be heat-treated) is fed to a heat treatment zone with a pusher 5 where a binder contained in the ceramic raw material is burned and decomposed in a binder combustion zone. After the combustion and decomposition of the binder are over, the heat treatment sleeve 4 which contains the ceramic raw material 1 is fed to a sintering zone. At that time, the heat treatment sleeve 4 is sealed by placing a sealing member 7 of a conveyer mechanism 8 into contact with an opening 4a of the heat treatment sleeve 4 one after another. The ceramic raw material 1 is definitely sintered in a specified atmosphere inside the heat treatment sleeve 4 in a sealed state without splashing the atmosphere component. |
