PURPOSE: To prevent the surface temperature of a reforming pipe from remarkably overshooting from a target temperature even if a load of a fuel cell suddenly reduces when a catalyst layer temperature in the reforming pipe is controlled at a target temperature by heating the reforming pipe by combustion heat by burning offgas from the fuel cell in a fuel cell power generation device by a burner of a fuel reformer. CONSTITUTION: An air exhaust gas mixing system 42 having a solenoid valve 43 to mix air exhaust gas from a fuel cell 20 is connected to a combustion air supply system 19. At sudden reduction time of a load detected by a load current detector 41, the solenoid valve 43 is controlled by a control part 44 to open for a time according to a load reducing quantity, and the air exhaust gas is added to combustion air passing through the combustion air supply system 19, and an air quantity for combustion is increased. Therefore, heat by combustion of offgas containing hydrogen temporarily increasing according to sudden reduction in the load is discharged much, and a catalyst layer temperature of a reforming pipe 7, that is, the surface temperature of the reforming pipe is prevented from overshooting remarkably. |
