PURPOSE: To enable a player to operate operating elements having high use frequencies without detaching his visual line from a keyboard and music by constituting the above musical instrument of an optical sensor switch section consisting of a light emitting section, a light condensing section for condensing reflected light and a light receiving and photoelectric converting section, a control section for controlling the switches of the operating elements and a switch section for the operating elements. CONSTITUTION: A keyboard of this electronic keyboard musical instrument is provided on the keyboard with the optical sensor switch section 14. The light is emitted from a light emitting section 31 when a changeover switch 3A is turned on. The reflected light is condensed by the condenser section 32 when the player shields the scanning light by, for example, his hand, etc. This light is detected by the light receiving and photoelectric converting section 33 and is subjected to photoelectric conversion to an electric signal. The control section 21 controls the switch section 16 of the prescribed operating element by this electric signal. As a result, the player is able to turn on and off the switch of the prescribed operating element by the simple operation of merely shutting off the light near the optical sensor switch section 14 with, for example, his hand without detaching the visual line from the keyboard or music during playing. |
