PURPOSE: To provide a camera capable of inputting a sound signal, capable of instantaneously obtaining the latest information and easily setting the camera in a state meeting photographing conditions to execute a photographing operation. CONSTITUTION: A sound signal applied to the camera from the outside is detected by a sound detecting processing part 16 with a microphone 15 and the sound pressure of the sound signal detected by an LCPU 12 is evaluated to decode an instruction code included in the sound signal. Further, the operation mode of the camera is set by a BCPU 3, to clock a specified time. Then, communication from the LCPU 12 to the BCPU 3 is executed and when the communication is of a prescribed instruction code, data based on the sound signal applied to the camera from the outside is fetched within the limits of the specified time, to enable control for the operation of the camera corresponding to the instruction code by the BCPU 3. |
