PURPOSE: To execute efficient projection and to reduce power consumption by providing a transmitting are receiving means for controlling the operations of projector. CONSTITUTION: This image pickup device is provided with plural projectors 31 arranged in each small part obtained by dividing a photographing range, a light transmitter 17 issuing control instructions to turn on and off a switch and control light to each of the plural projectors 31 by the instructions of a microcontroller 13 and light receivers 18 installed in the projectors 31 and receiving the control instructions from the light transmitter 17, to instruct the projectors 31 to turn on and off the switch and adjust a light quantity. On the other hand, as a control means, a controller 11 and an operation unit 14 are used. When a desired object is picked up, the object can be projector only with the projector 31 nearest to the object, so that it is unnecessary that the projectors 31 are made larger in size and manufacturing costs and the power can be reduced. |
