PURPOSE: To make a medium-sized or large-sized display by canceling 'shading' made of invalid screen of the boundary part of a single small display in the area of the small display when a plurality of small displays are arranged to make a large-sized display. CONSTITUTION: A display unit is made by placing a display auxiliary panel 2 having a light path block with inclined light paths 4 on a small display 1 and by making the surface of the auxiliary panel to be a effective light output plane. A medium-sized or large-sized display is built by connecting a plurality of the display units in the longitudinal and horizontal directions. In this way, a large-sized display device can be constituted by constructing display units by placing the auxiliary panel 2 on the single display 1 and by connecting a plurality of these units in the longitudinal and lateral directions. |
