JOINT REINFORCEMENT FOR RUBBER-PLASTIC POWER CABLE

PURPOSE: To reduce the size of joint without causing dielectric breakdown due to electric stress. CONSTITUTION: The joint reinforcement 10 for rubber.plastic power cable is formed tubularly with a tapered end part 10a being molded integrally. The joint reinforcement 10 comprises an inner semiconductive layer 12, an insulation layer 14 and an outer semiconductive layer 16 formed sequentially from the inside. The inner semiconductive layer 12 has a drum part 12a formed thinner than the curved end part 12b wherein the insulation layer 14 and the outer semiconductive layer 16 are reduced in diameter at the part corresponding to the drum part 12a.
