Electronic storage of personal data on compact discs

During a write process, there are changes in current direction in the head, the magnetic layer is magnetised and data are stored as changes in flux density. The appts. used includes a write/read head (2), the magnetic track (3) on the recording side of the disc (1), and there are other tracks (5,7) and other heads (4,6). During the read process, the changes in flux density of the magnetic layers induce voltage fluctuations, corresponding to the data, in the coils in the head and these go to evaluating units and also to the drive mechanisms and controls.
