Device for securing door or window handle against unauthorised operation

The device has two caps (10,12) which are lockable together and which completely enclose the handle (28). One cap (10) extends around handle neck (36), and the other (12) around the lever portion (34). The caps are supported on the frame (20) of the door- or window leaf, and extend under the lever to prevent lifting off the frame. At the underside of the first cap there can be a recess (26) fitting round the handle-plate (28). To prevent lifting off the frame, the inner end face of the second cap towards the first can have an opening, through which the handle lever protrudes inside the second cap. Below the opening there can be a plate adjustable on the inner end face, forming the opening bottom edge.
