<p>Multiple payload system (10) comprises sling assembly (16) and frame assembly (18) for transporting payloads (14) suspended below an aircraft. Sling assembly (16) includes an elongated load bearing cable (28) having a first end (20) and a second end (22). A stress sensor (24) used in measuring the weight of payloads (14) extends between the aircraft and first end (20) of load bearing cable (28). Payload hook (122) is also attached to sling assembly (16) with an anti-torque device (26) extending between second end (32) of load bearing cable (28) and payload hook (122). Anti-torque device (26) permits payload hook (43) to freely rotate relative to the longitudinal axis of load bearing cable (28). Frame assembly (18) is attached to payload hook (122) and comprises an airframe (227) with a plurality of payload hooks (253) secured thereto. Payload hooks (253) are used for selectively attaching and releasing multiple payloads (14). Stabilizing wing (272) and a plurality of legs (258) are also attached to airframe (227). Finally, electrical means are also provided to permit selective actuation of payload hooks (253) from the aircraft.</p> |
