Photographic image stamping-out device

The device has a housing (10) with an insertion slot (14) for the image strip which is open on 3 sides and a 2-part stamping tool with a stamping die (22) and a cooperating matrix (20), positioned on opposite sides of the insertion slot. The stamping tool operating drive, displaces the stamping die or the matrix relative to the image strip positioned in the insertion slot, for stamping-out an image from the strip. The die and the matrix have cooperating inner and outer rectangular cutting edges, at least part of the stamping tool lying at an angle to the geometric plane perpendicular to the displacement direction. The operating drive uses a manually-activated electric motor (36), disconnected automatically via an end switch (38).
