A fibre-reinforced floor mortar, for thin layers anchored in the substratum, consists of about 1/3 wt. parts cement with conventional setting additives, 4-10 wt.% steel fibres with a thickness/length ratio of 1:6-10 and sand or hard material of 0-4 mm particle size fraction, the mortar layer being 1.5-2 cm thick.
