Laser wavelength conversion system for providing blue light

The conversion system allows the basic wavelength of an optically stimulated laser crystal containing neodyme, lying in the range between 1318 and 1444 nm to be converted into the blue spectral range via frequency summation of harmonics of the base wavelength. The radiation received from the laser crystal is fed to a pair of LBO crystals (6, 7) for providing second and third harmonics of the basic wavelength, used to provide a wavelength between 439 and 481 nm.
