The method displays the information on the receiver stored in a memory of the telephone when receiving a call signal on the telephone or sending a call signal to easily identify the receiver. The method comprises the steps of inputting a call data on the receiver, determining if the call data exists in the memory, and starting a telephone communication by displaying the information on a LCD in the call signal sending mode; detecting the telephone number of the call receiver, determining if the detected telephone number exists among the memory, and starting a telephone communication by displaying the information on the LCD in the call signal receiving mode.
