The workstation desk and chair have devices for mutually matching height adjustment, enabling conversion from a seated workstation via a kneeling one to a standing one. The mutually matching adjustment of the desk top (6) and the chair's seating surface is performed via simultaneously or separately controlled positioning drives. The desk has a frame (2), a top (6) and at least two side walls (7). The side walls and top form a height adjustable table unit (3) adjustable w.r.t. the frame on the table legs (5) of the frame. The motion is guided by plastic sliding guides.
