Sunroof comprising, in a longitudinal direction, a front (10) and a rear closure panel (20) for an opening (1) in a fixed surface of the roof (5) of a motor vehicle, said front (10) and rear (20) panels being each independently adjustable between a forward end of travel position and a rearward end of travel position, characterized in that the front panel (10) comprises a rear portion (14) hingedly mounted on a transversal connecting pin (40) supported by one end (11a) of a control bar (11) and a front portion (13) translatably mounted in a guide channel (12) for the longitudinal movement of said front panel (10), while the rear panel (20) comprises a front portion (25) translatably mounted in a guide channel (16) extending in a longitudinal direction and supported by another end (11b) of said control bar (11) and a rear portion (26) hingedly mounted on a transversal connecting pin (60) supported by one end of a control rod (17a).
