A welding tip comprising a tip main body (1) comprising in turn a leading end portion (11) and a rear end portion (21), and a C-shaped spring (3), wherein a welding rod passage hole (6) is formed in an axially central portion of the tip main body (1), wherein a longitudinal slit (13) is formed in the leading end portion (11) of the tip main body (1) in such a manner as to extend along the welding rod passage hole (6) from a leading end (12), wherein an annular groove (16) is formed within a range where the longitudinal slit (13) is formed, and wherein the C-shaped spring (3) is fitted in the annular groove (16) so as to clamp the longitudinal slit (13). Even if the welding rod passage hole (6) is enlarged due to wear, there remains good contact between a welding rod and the welding rod passage hole (6) so as to supply stable current, and moreover a leading end of a welding rod can stably be fixed so as to effect accurate welding, thereby making it possible to improve the welding quality.
