The connector has a pair of individual optical connector plugs (2, 2'), coupled together by a release lever (3), used for a release mechanism which must be released before the optical connector plugs can be removed from the connector socket. The release lever extends across both optical connector plugs and is pivoted about an axis (4) at right angles to the connector axes. An additional connection device (6) for increasing the stability of the axis parallelity is provided by a clip snap-fitted to respective reception sections (7) of the optical connector plugs. |
