Knock regulating method for IC engine with engine noise detected by body sound detectors

The noise value (4,6) is determined continuously, actually from a number of the last respectively knocking values in the operation of the IC engine. This actual noise value is smaller than the average value (2) of the total amount of the respectively last knocking values (1). A continuous actual noise value is determined for each cylinder of the IC engine and from this a cylinder specific noise threshold (5; 7) is derived. 8 to 32 of the respectively last determined knocking values of the individual cylinders, are used for determining the actual cylinder specific noise values.
