Moulding artificial stone with natural rock surface structure

A process for prodn. of moulded bodies in the form of imitation stone surfaces, using a flexible mould and hydraulic setting materials, involves filling the flexible mould to the requisite thickness with a mixt. of opt. coloured concrete contg. fibres of certain thickness and compsn. and, after setting, removing the moulding from the mould and supplying to the site of use. Also claimed are (1) moulded replicas produced as above; and (ii) fixing of the above replicas by plug systems such as through-anchors, hammer-in wall plugs, anchor bolts, nylon wall plugs, cavity anchors or light concrete anchors, the various spacings of the moulded bodies being achieved by PVC spacers (sleeves) pushed over threaded rods and the nuts being internally threaded specially fabricated parts with welded-on wings.
