PURPOSE:To synthetically improve a delay in response and the magnitude thereof by a method wherein during the starting of steering of a handle and the starting of return thereof, response correcting pressure oil is respectively fed to the cylinder chamber of an auxiliary booster and the reaction force chamber of a hydraulic reaction force type control valve. CONSTITUTION:In a power steering system 10, pressure oil delivered from a pump 13 along with running of an engine is fed with a force to a hydraulic reaction force type control valve 14 through a flow control valve 15 and a pressure oil set valve 17. In this case, based on detecting signals from a car speed sensor 25 and a steering force sensor 26, an electric actuator 81 of a differential pressure regulating valve 18 is controlled by a control unit 20, and a differential pressure between reaction force chambers 59 and 60 of the valve 14 is regulated. Similarly, solenoid coils 87 and 88 of a pressure oil injection valve 19 are controlled, and response correcting pressure oil is fed to cylinder chambers 44 and 45 of a auxiliary booster 12 mounted individually from a main booster 11. |
