发明名称 SLANT-ANGLE FLAW DETECTING METHOD USING ULTRASONIC WAVE
摘要 PURPOSE:To make it possible to detect flaws smoothly at constant sensitivity by sticking an elastic soft film having a specified thickness on which bonding agent is applied on the sound-wave oscillating surface of a slant-angle probe which is to become a contact surface with a test specimen. CONSTITUTION:An elastic soft film 3 having a specified thickness on which bonding agent is applied is stuck to the sound-wave oscillating surface of a slant-angle probe 2 which is to become a contact surface with a test specimen 1. A sound wave is transmitted to the test specimen 1 from the probe 2 through this film 3, and a flaw is detected at a slant angle. Contact media are combined as required. AS the thickness of the film 3, the suitable thickness (about 1/2 wavelength) in the range wherein elasticity is not lost and the thickness (about 2 wavelengths) wherein the multiple reflection echoes of the ultrasonic wave are not generated are preferable because there is no trouble in use and flaw detection and the change in flaw detecting sensitivity is least.
