PURPOSE:To eliminate the deviation between a maximum value detection signal or/and a minimum value detection signal, and a storage signal by reading signals out of the maximum value detecting means or/and the minimum value detection signal through the same read system with storage signals of plural photoelectric converting elements. CONSTITUTION:At the end of storage, the current maximum output level and minimum output level, and output levels of respective picture elements are stored in storage capacitors 15, 16, and 5-1-5-n with transfer pulses phit. For reading, NMOS switches 19, 20, and 4-1-4-n are turned on in order by a shift register 6 to read the signals out of the storage capacitors 15, 16, and 5-1-5-n to a read line 7. An NMOS switch 8 is turned on right before the NMOS switches 19, 20, and 5-1-4-n are selected to reset electrostatic charges remaining on the read line 7. Consequently, the maximum output and minimum output of a photoelectric converting element are obtained more accurately. |
