Halobutyl/solution polymerized SBR innerliner

A tyre inner-liner is prepd. from a compsn. comprising, based on 100 pts.wt. of rubber, a blend of: (A) about 30-50 pts.wt. of a soln. polymerised polymer having repeating units and a Tg of -45 to -65 [deg]C, wherein (1) 25-40 wt.% of the repeating units are derived from styrene; (2) 5-30 wt.% of the repeating units have a 1,2-microstructure and are derived from butadiene; and (3) 40-60 wt.% of the repeating units have a 1,4-microstructure and are derived from butadiene; and (B) about 70-50 pts.wt. of a halobutyl rubber. Also claimed is a pneumatic tyre having an inner liner prepd. from a compsn. as above.
