Wiper with a lightened head for a vehicle

The wiper has a moulded drive head (12) which has an end (20) for mounting on an alternately sweeping drive shaft (14). The other end (22) is pivoted on a wiper blade carrying arm (16). The drive head has a recess (26) in its central part (24) connecting the two ends. The recess is oblong and directed longitudinally along the median plane of the drive head. The recess comprises a hole which discharges into the upper (28) and lower (30) faces of the central connecting part which are perpendicular to the axis (A1) of the drive shaft.
