Shelf holder

A shelf holder has a first component 1 which supports the underside of the shelf and a second component 2 which grips the top of the shelf, being tightened by screws 23. The component 2 slides vertically relative to the component 1, and has feet 18 which project through vertical openings 11 in a wall-engaging part 3 of the first component 1, the feet 18 having slots which engage the sides of the openings 11 and provide stability. In order to conceal the mechanism, there is a top cover piece 24 which clips over the top lip 16 and a bottom cover piece 29 in two parts 30, 33, the first of which lies on top of the support part 7 of the first component 1 and the second of which conceals the bottom portion of the shelf holder. <IMAGE> <IMAGE>
