The pans of a scraper-chain conveyor, for example, are interconnected by means of a dog-bone toggle bolt (1) fitted into compartments (2) in the pan side walls. To secure the toggle bolt (1) in place a swivel plate (6) is fitted into upper and lower pockets (4, 5) covered by wall portions, to project over an extension (3) of one of the heads of the toggle bolt (1). The upper pocket (4) has an open recess (10) in the wall portion and the plate (6) is held in place either with a plastics pin (14) (Fig 2) or a sleeve (12) located in respective holes (13, 11) in end regions of the plate (6) and engaging in the recess (10), depending on which way up the plate (6) is positioned. |
