<p>PURPOSE: To realize the direct purification of lakes and marshes or a basin and to remove nutrient salts such as phosphorus to suppress the generation of phytoplankton to purify the whole of the hydrosphere by arranging a direct fluidized bed type purifying tank within a water area and taking in the circumferential raw water to return the same as purified water. CONSTITUTION: When a wire 3 is set rather long, the position from the surface of the water of a fluidized bed container 1 is kept constant even when a water level changes. Purified water is taken in from a water supply pipe 7 by a pump 5 to be discharged to a water area from a drain pipe 6. The water level 10 of the fluidized bed container is monitored by a water level sensor 11 and the operation of the pump 5 is controlled so that the water level 10 becomes lower than the surface 9 of the water area by a set value. At this time, raw water flows in from an intake pipe 8 by the water level difference between the surface 9 of the water area and the water level 10 of the fluidized bed container to pass through a fluidized bed filter material 13 to be purified. That is, steady operation is realized in such a state that the water level difference and the passage resistance at the time of the passage through the filter material are well balanced.
