PURPOSE: To increase the effect to improve the fuel consumption by the slip control of a lock-up clutch without damaging the acceleration and calmness by variably setting the target slip amount according to the amplitude of the fluctuation of the engine speed. CONSTITUTION: The throttle opening TA, the vehicle speed NO, the oil temperature, the engine speed Ne, the turbine number of revolution Nt, or the like are read from each sensor to judge whether or not the slip control conditions are established by a slip control condition judging part 41. When the slip control condition are established, the engine speed fluctuation amplitudeΔNe is calculated by an Ne fluctuation amplitude calculating part 42 based on the signal of the engine speed Ne. In addition, the target slip amount TSLP is calculated by a target slip amount calculating part 43 according to this engine speed fluctuation amplitudeΔNe. The signal of the duty ratio equivalent to the target slip amount TSLP is outputted to an automatic transmission 18 through a feedback compensator 44 to control the slip amount so as to agree with the target. |
