FIELD: railway transport; brake systems. SUBSTANCE: brake shoe has polymeric friction member with U-shaped cavity at side of working surface, and metal frame made in form of perforated backing plate with U-shaped projection in central portion combined with closed frame. Length of each of two sections of perforated backing plate projecting beyond the limits of U-shaped projection is within the limits from half the length to two lengths of U-shaped cavity of friction member.
