PURPOSE: To provide the subject new primer pair capable of selectively detecting viruses of viral bovine diarrhea and mucosal diseases (BVD.MDV) in a specimen and usable for PCR method for the diagnosis of cattle persistently infected with BVD.MDV causing various disorders. CONSTITUTION: This new synthetic oligonucleotide pair is expressed by formula I and formula II, capable of selectively detecting viruses of viral bovine diarrhea and mucosal diseases (BVD.MDV) in a specimen, active on keeping the P80 gene of BVD.MDV as a target, usable for PCR method for the diagnosis of cattle which is persistently infected with BVD.MDV causing various disorders such as pyrexia, digestive system disorder, respiratory diseases, immunodepression, transient reproductive difficulties, lactation disorders, etc., and useful as a primer for BVD.MDV detection. The oligonucleotide pair can be produced from two sequences capable of completely detecting a number of BVD.MDV strains from a region coding for a non-structural protein P80 by selecting the two sequences from the base sequence of BVD.MDV and synthesizing the oligonucleotide of the sequences. |
