<p>PURPOSE: To provide a recording method wherein advantages of a thermal transfer method and an ink jet method are utilized while defects thereof are eliminated so as to obtain excellent resolution and gradation in picture element with high image quality and immediacy, a device can be small in size and light in weight, waste does not generate, transferring to a plain paper is also possible, and recording can be done at low consuming power and low running cost, and to provide a recording liquid to be used in the above method. CONSTITUTION: A porous structure (a pillar-like body 61) consisting of a refined part whose dimension in a face direction of a recording liquid heating section 57 is 0.2-3μm and dimension in a direction rectangular to the face direction is 2-1.5μm is formed in the recording liquid heating section 57. Recording is performed by an ink jet recording method in such a manner that a recording liquid 62 which contains a dye whose 90wt.% or higher vapors and 10wt.% or lower is a residue when it is heated to 300 deg.C or higher, and a solvent which dissolves or disperses 5wt.% or higher of the dye at 50 deg.C or lower and has a boiling point of 150 deg.C or lower is used.</p> |
