<p>PURPOSE: To constrain a striker at the time of engagement by causing the striker to move in and mutually abutting the regulating surface of a regulating member with the strike from the interior side in the entry direction. CONSTITUTION: When a striker 18 moves inn under the state of a locking plate 33 at a locked place at the place of the standby of the engagement of a latch 31, the latch 31 is rotated towards the place of engagement, and the locking plate 33 is pushed by the circular surface of a latch engaging section 59 and retreated to an unconstrained position. The latch 31 crosses over the place of engagement and is turned up to the position of over-travel simultaneously, and the locking plate 33 is returned and revolved to a locked place again by a biasing spring 39 while an engaged locked state with the latch engaging section 59 returned to the place of engagement is ensured. The regulating surface 61 of a striker regulating member 35 is abutted mutually with the striker 18 by a biasing spring 67. The striker 18 is supported at three points and a positive constrained state is obtained at that time, and the tapered-shaped regulating surface 61 works to the striker 18 in a wedge shape and strong contact pressure is ensured.</p> |
