<p>PURPOSE: To inform a succeeding vehicle or the like accurately of stop display by an indicator lamp without continuing to depress a brake pedal by providing side brake mechanism with a switching circuit actuated to put out light by releasing the setting of a side brake lever to brake. CONSTITUTION: A display control device for an automobile indicator lamp is formed of a branch line 7 connected to a brake lamp circuit, and an on-off contact switch 6 provided at the intermediate part of the line 7. The contact switch 6 is connected to side brake structure, and put in the on state when a side brake lever 5 is set to brake and put in the off state when the setting to brake is released. While an automobile is decelerated from the travel state to come to a stop, a brake pedal is depressed, and the brake lamp circuit is placed in the current flowing state so as to light a brake lamp or intensify light. In this stop state, when the depression of the brake pedal is released, the brake lamp is put out or put in the dimmed-out state.</p> |
