The condition of operation is governed by commands from the control unit and allows the following parameters of the steering to be controlled: maximum friction force for all range of rotation of the controllable wheels, backlash in the steering and friction force when the backlash is eliminated, backlash in the steering drive and friction force in the steering drive, backlash in the pivot joints of the steering drive.
