CATALYST FOR METATHESIS REACTION OF OLEFIN

PURPOSE: To obtain a catalyst suppressing the production of a by-product and having high efficiency at the time of synthesizing a useful substance from olefin. CONSTITUTION: This catalyst consists of a porous body of a crystalline oxide having many pores and a catalytic component having activity to a metathesis reaction and disposed in the pores in the porous body. The average diameter of the pores is 1-10nm and the diameters of >=80% of the pores distribute within the range of ±40% of the average diameter. When this catalyst is used, the production of a by-product can be suppressed, the isolation of a reactional product is facilitated and productivity can be improved.
