PURPOSE: To provide a low-cost high-capacity power unit having a simple structure and capable of generating a DC voltage having a ripple component suppressed to an extent to be allowable as a knitting needle driving power without using capacitors, switching regulators, etc. CONSTITUTION: This power unit 10 contains a 1st transformer 14 having Y-Y connection for three-phase alternating current use, a 2nd transformer 16 having Y-Δ connection for three-phase alternating current use, a 1st rectifier circuit 18 to perform the full wave rectification of the output of the 1st transformer 14, a 2nd rectifier circuit 20 to perform the full wave rectification of the output of the 2nd transformer 16 and plural drivers parallelly connected to a combining part to combine the outputs of both rectifier circuits and drive a linear motor 12 for driving a knitting needle. |
