PURPOSE: To unity the distribution of the bearing pressure to be generated in a gasket when being sealed. CONSTITUTION: A gasket 10 is formed by a bottom part 12 capable of being fitted to a groove 11 formed in a first member W1 and a projected streak part 13 in contact with a second member. In the projected streak part 13, its apex part is formed semi-circular, and its intermediate part is of continuous two-mountain shape provided with a recessed part 14. An outer skirt part 13A of the projected streak part 13 is of the skirt shape which is gradually expanded outside through the angleα2. In the condition where the gasket 10 is interposed between the first and second members W2 and connected by bolts, the deformation of the projected streak part 13 in the vicinity of the bolt tightened position is larger than that at the center part between the tightened parts to unify the difference in the bearing pressure associated with provision of the tightening force.
