PURPOSE: To provide an at-hand operating member structure of an endoscope which can secure a working space to connect a pipe and a tube sufficiently without making the at-hand operating member longer. CONSTITUTION: While a connecting member 28 is inserted together with a taper ring 30, to the outer periphery of a tube 24 from the end 24a of the tube 24, the connecting member 28 is moved to a joint ring 32 side, and the connecting member 28 is housed in the space 44 of the joint ring 32, so as to secure the length L, of the working space. Then, the end 24A of the tube 24 is pushed in to a tube body. And the connecting member 28 is picked up from the space 44, and moved to the tube body side along the tube 24, and the end 24A of the tube 24 is fitted to the small diameter part 26B of the tube body by the taper ring 30 of the connecting member 28. In such a way, the length L2 of the working space can be made longer than a conventional length by the length L3 to house the connecting member 28. |
