<p>PURPOSE: To improve cooling efficiency of the exhaust manifold of an engine and to increase the efficiency of arrangement of a fresh water cooler. CONSTITUTION: In an exhaust manifold M to cool cooling water, the passage area of cooling water is decreased at the maximum temperature part of the exhaust manifold and increased at a comparatively middle temperature part. In constitution wherein a fresh water passage part is arranged at the upper part of a water-cooled exhaust manifold, a partition wall 3 is arranged in a fresh water cooler case T of which a fresh water passage part consists, the side near the exhaust manifold M forms an upper cooling water space 13, and the upper part of the partition wall 3 forms a cooling water storage part 12. The partition wall 3 is inclined toward the opposite fly wheel side and a communication hole 4 communicated with a fresh water tank is formed in the partition wall 3 being the topmost part of inclination.</p> |
