<p>PURPOSE: To eliminate troublesome operations, and make highly accurate measurement by detecting the height of a measured area, and thereby correcting the blood pressure or a blood vessel condition measured by a measuring means in response to the height at which measurement has been made. CONSTITUTION: When a start switch 7 is turned on, the inclinationθ1 of a main body 11 is detected by an inclination sensor 8, it is taken in a MPU 3 through an A/D converter 2, and it is stored in a memory 9. After that, a wrist is pressed by a cuff, its pressure is increased up to a specified cuff pressure, and it is then decompressed thereafter. In the process of a series of pressing and decompressing, the maximum and the lowest blood pressure are determined based on string data for the amplitude of a pulsation wave to be detected by a pulsation wave sensor 1 and cuff pressure. After the decision of blood pressure has been over, the inclination ofθ2 of the main body 11 is measured again, and the inclinationθ2 measured at this point is stored in the memory 9. Next, the difference H in height is computed based on the inclinationsθ1 andθ2 and if the difference is in a specified range, a correction value is then computed so as to allow a blood pressure value to be corrected, and the corrected blood pressure value is then indicated on a display unit 4.</p> |
