<p>PURPOSE: To recover valuable metals from the combustion ash excluded from the thermoelectric power station at low energy cost through easy operations by treating the ash after combustion of metal-containing petroleum with an acidic aqueous solution containing hydrogen peroxide, and to contribute to reduction of electric power generating cost. CONSTITUTION: An acidic aqueous solution of 0.5-3.0pH, containing 0.1-10wt.% of hydrogen peroxide and 0.01-5wt.% of an acid, is used as an extractant to allow the ash after petroleum combustion to contact with the acidic solution at room temperature or, when needed, at 30-90 deg.C. The extraction solution is adjusted in its pH to 7-9, then an ammonium salt is added precipitate ammonium vanadate and the residual solution is cooled down to crystallize out the nickel salt in the form of ammonium double salt.</p> |
