PURPOSE: To obtain the subject polyelectrolyte, containing an organic polymer having a polyalkylene carbonate unit in the main chain and a metallic salt and having a high ionic conductivity even at ambient temperature and further excellent film-forming properties, flexibility and mechanical strength. CONSTITUTION: This polyelectrolyte contains an organic polymer having a unit of the formula [(n) is an integer and preferably 2-6] and a metallic salt [e.g. a lithium salt such as LiBr, LiClO4 or LiN(CF3 SO3 )z]. Furthermore, the constituent ratio of the organic polymer to the metallic salt is preferably 0.1-0.7 molar ratio ([metallic ions]/[O-CO-O unite) of the metallic salt ions to the total polycarbonate functional groups in the organic polymer. |
