发明名称 PRODUCTION OF SILICA MOLDED ARTICLE FOR CATALYST AND PRODUCTION OF CATALYST CARRIED ON SILICA
摘要 PURPOSE: To obtain a high strength fired silica catalyst or catalyst carried on silica by blending silica powder having specified properties with a silica sol in a specified ratio, molding the resultant blend and firing it at a specified temp. CONSTITUTION: Silica powder of <=100μm average particle diameter contg. a catalytically active component is prepd. and 100 pts.wt. of the silica powder is blended with 0-60 pts.wt. binder such as PVA and a silica sol in such a ratio as to regulate the amt. of solid SiO2 in the silica sol to 1-100 pts.wt. The resultant blend is molded and fired at 400-1,000 deg.C. Since the silica sol is mixed with the powdery silica, the formed molded article maintains satisfactory strength even after firing.
