FIELD: river and sea-going displacement-type vessels. SUBSTANCE: gas layer is formed by forcing the gas to trough-shaped guard of flat portion of bottom at smooth run-up of water on gas layer in bow and coming off in stern for shallow-draft vessels due to exhaust of internal combustion engine under bottom and due to bleeding part of air from supercharging compressor of internal combustion engine for medium-draft and deep-draft vessels. Consumption of power for creation and maintenance of gas layer is lesser than reduction of power of ship's main engines by at least 20 times. EFFECT: considerable reduction of wetted surface of ship's hull by approximately 50 percent for medium- and deep-draft vessels and still more for shallow-draft vessels. |
