FIELD: chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical and food-processing industry. SUBSTANCE: apparatus for separating dispersed magnetic catalyst from reaction medium containing liquid and solid phases has magnetic catcher with magnetic core and magnet winding and is further provided with settling chamber made from nonmagnetic material and positioned outside magnetic field. Magnetic core defines working channel with profile variable along flow direction. Working channel has three successive zones. Magnet winding is located within magnetic core and adapted to prevent magnetic field from dissipation. EFFECT: increased efficiency in separating polydispersed magnetic catalyst freed from nonmagnetic contaminants, from reaction chamber, effective usage of magnetic field energy and enhanced reliability in operation. |
