摘要 <p>PURPOSE: To roll the plate or strip of excellent precision in thickness and shape with highly efficiency in the high speed rolling by controlling the mill constant of the gage control system corresponding to the roll bending load. CONSTITUTION: The load and the roll bending force are set during the preparation of the rolling. The mill constant Mb is used in the computation when the work roll gap is set. During the rolling, various automatic gage control(AGC) are in operation, and the rolling load is constantly fluctuated, and at the same time, the bending force Fb is constantly fluctuated based on the information of a shape detector in the shape control. The control quantity of each AGC is computed to operate a screw down device by the mill constant Mb to reflect the change in the rolling load and the roll bending force Fb. High speed rolling can be achieved with excellent thickness and shape precision.</p>
