Crosslinked poly(meth)acrylate-based plastic particles (PP) with a dia. of 1-15 microns are deriv. from (a) 20-99.9 wt.% methyl methacrylate (MMA), (B) 0-79 wt.% methacrylate esters of formula CH2=C(CH3)-COOR2 (I), where R1 = 2-8C alkyl, 5-6C cycloalkyl (opt. substd. with 1-4C alkyl), up to 14C aryl (opt. substd.), or aralkyl; (C) 0-50 wt.% acrylate esters of formula CH2=CH-COOR2 (II), R2 = 1-8C alkyl, 5-6C cycloalkyl (opt. substd. as above), opt. substd. 6-14C aryl, or aralkyl; (D) 0.1-20 wt.% known crosslinking monomer(s) (CM) with ≥ two radically polymerisable gps.. The prod. (PM) is prepd. in the presence of known mol.wt. regulators (MR), pref. "sulphur regulators", in amts. of 0.01-1 pts.wt. w.r.t. PP. |
