The invention relates to a process for diagnosing a person's sensitivity to mites in household dust. The process involves the use of one or more peptides that have been isolated and/or the use of modified peptides, forming part of the predominantly protein allergens in mites of the Dermatophagoides family. The said peptides also comprise at least one T-cell epitope and preferably at least two T-cell epitopes of protein allergens chosen from the following types: Der p I, Der p II, Der f I and Der f II.
