FIELD: shipbuilding. SUBSTANCE: ship's cargo hatch has longitudinal and transverse coamings bounding the opening in deck. Coamings are provided with vertical walls strengthened with stiffeners and web beams. Transverse coaming has recess which is open from below. Width of this recess is equal to width of cargo hatch and its height is range from 20 to 70 percent of height of above-deck portion of coaming. EFFECT: increased capacity of cargo hatch at retained strength of deck structure. |
